Time seems to have gotten away from me for the past few weeks, but thankfully Jai has been enjoying a bit of a break as well so I don't have too much catching up to do :)
On January 7th Jai met John Barrowman after the final performance of Robinson Crusoe and The Carribean Pirates at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow.
Jai has also been in training for his run in the London Marathon on behalf of the charity Mencap and their 2012 campaign "New Year New Me"
the charity’s ‘New year, new me’ campaign, which is designed to challenge and inspire people with a learning disability to set themselves personal goals that can make a positive difference to their life. The campaign is being supported by Britain’s Got Talent winner, Jai McDowall, a former learning disability support worker, who is taking part in the London marathon for Mencap as part of his own New Year challenge.
“Making personal goals are a great way to make lasting change to your life and can help others as well,” McDowall said. “This is why I’m pleased to support Mencap’s ‘New year, new me’ campaign to help people with a learning disability make positive changes to their life.”
